At this year’s SDSN Spring Leadership Council, more than 20 network managers from national, regional and thematic networks attended the network management workshop in Stockholm, which was structured among several themes. Overall, the purpose of this third network management workshop facilitated by GIZ was to introduce new network managers to SDSN procedures and colleague, as well as to strengthen and deepen the cooperation within the network. The three-day event focussed on themes such as: onboarding of new managers, the role of universities in implementing the SDGs, hands on trainings on fundraising and project management, updates on contact management and Mobilize, as well as a consultations on the planned global Solutions Initiatives Forum.

The overall participant feedback was very positive. After comparing participant expectations at the begining and at the results of the discussions at the end, most topics and issues were covered. Any remaining themes will be put on the agenda for the upcoming workshop which will take place around the upcoming Leadership Council in New York this September. SDSN is very grateful to our partners at GIZ for enabling this fantastic opportunity to convene SDSN’s network managers from around the globe and look forward to our future collaboration.
